Our plot of Syrah Noir was planted in 2002 and results in a deep dark colored wine with rich complex aromas and concentrated fruit flavors. The aroma and taste is mindful of blackberry, plum, and noticeable tastes of chocolate, black pepper, oak and other earthy elements that is well integrated with the wine such that it does not dwarf the taste of the fruit. Our wines are aged to perfection in small American oak barrels.

The Wine Making Process
This wine was fermented in macro bins; where the juice rested for several days before undergoing a natural fermentation. We then pitched just enough yeast to keep everything going smoothly and started a secondary malolactic fermentation. We Barrel aged the wine in small American Oak casks, to fully bring out the finesse and expressiveness of the aromas. Excellent for a steak, ribs, pasta and more.
