Mourvèdre
$38.00
We planted Mourvèdre in 1993. This grape varietal pronounced (mohr-VED-dra) is full bodied with dark fruit flavors, berries, earthy and certainly a little wild and savory. We age this wine in small American oak barrels a little longer to produce a well balanced wine with soft tannins. We recommend that you decant this wine in order to release the abundant flavors and aromas.

This wine was fermented in macro bins; where the juice rested for several days before undergoing a natural fermentation. We then pitched just enough yeast to keep everything going smoothly and started a secondary malolactic fermentation. We Barrel aged the wine in small American Oak casks, to fully bring out the finesse and expressiveness of the aromas. Excellent for a steak, ribs, pasta and more.
